I had my first session this past weekend with a family that lost one of their twins and while I felt somewhat prepared for the range of emotions that I felt, nothing could ever prepare me for the emotions I saw; from the parents to the hospital staff you really have no comprehension of what the loss of a child will do to those effected by it.

So hug & cherish your loved ones, be forgiving of those that need forgiveness, and be grateful every moment for the life you are given & each night please remember & pray for those that are suffering loss.

This wedding day flowed very well. The Bride and Groom decided to see each other before the ceremony and have the majority of the photos done so they could get right to the party. The ceremony was at sunset and the couple literally rode off into that sunset in a horse and carraige. The reception was great as we did a “photo booth” for the guests and they had a blast.

What a way to end an wonderful wedding day for Monica and Kyle at the Hilton in Cancun, Mexico. With about 35 people total for this destination wedding, as you can see, most of the group decided to end the night with a jump in the pool including the bride in her wedding gown. Timing was everything for this shot and we were glad to be there to capture the moment. Thanks for everything Monica and Kyle!

All I can say is we had a blast with Cari & Ryan. They got married last summer (7-7-07) and then decided to have a reception later in the year and asked if we could be there for the reception. The day and evening could not have turned out better. They know how to throw an awesome party and we had a great time, check out our makeshift “photo booth” pics in the link below.

Our beautiful niece will be having her first baby sometime very soon, she’s going in to be induced tonight around 2am. These two are so cool and so perfect for each other. I wish I could of recorded Tameka’s laugh, she has the sweetest giggle. While Jason was napping before the wedding, Tameka was in the salon setting off the fire alarm. She’s that hot! Well….maybe it was her Mom, a flat iron and some hair oil. But she’s still smokin..Check her out.

I love it when you can just feel how happy and excited couples are on their wedding day. Once the “I Do’s” were over these two couldn’t stop smiling. They were so easy to work with and they throw a heck-of a party. Check out Darbie’s veil, it was originally her Mother’s and so beautiful. Once again just a fabulous time: and Kathy is possibly the most laid back bride I have ever met. Things were not going quite as planned, the hair people were an hour late, rain (I’m talking pouring rain) and the start of the ceremony, and nothing fazed this woman. And even though Kathy doesn’t like to show a lot of emotion their ceremony was really touching, John read Kathy’s daughter a wonderful poem welcoming her as part of his life and they gave her a really awesome necklace. We also got to hang out with them on a few more occasions after the wedding and had a blast, eating, having beers at their fumigated hotel room, swimming in cenotes, crashing hotel parties, off-roading in the tiniest rental car ever. Had a blast guys!

If peacocks are actually an indication of good luck and well-being, then Amy & Shegun are the luckiest couple ever. The first photo was the guest at their wedding, the second was at the reception and the third was strutting his stuff when we met them at a completely different resort for some photos a few days after their wedding.

Amy & Shegun are the type of people when you meet them; they immediately make you feel comfortable. They are the sweetest couple and they have the nicest family & friends. It poured on their wedding day, I mean poured right until ceremony time then it stopped long enough for the ceremony and some photos. I think it had to do with the peacocks. (More on those in the next post.)

Their reception was held in the discothèque, it had these velvet curtains at the entrance that made me think of those photo booths at the mall. SOO, we had a little fun with them.

We had planned on going to the beach for some day after photos for Jill & Josh. But the weather was not being cooperative, it was almost comical how hard the wind was blowing down near the water. But we found a few spots out of the weather and braved some sprinkles and they were great about it and you can’t really take a bad photo of these two.

Once again, such a great wedding with great people. I feel so privileged to be apart of the wedding’s I’m chosen to photograph.
I’ll let the photos give you a glimpse of the day, but I’d like to say that Josh’s Aunt Rita made all the bouquets’ and boutonnières and even though she was not able to attend it I wanted to mention that her hard work was just beautiful.
You’ll also see some photos at the bottom of the final dance of the evening. ALL of the guest’s made a large circle around Josh and Jill while they danced, just an amazing feeling in the room and it ended with a final song of everyone in the circle singing “Piano Man”.

I can’t say enough great things about Stephanie & Chris and the fun we had with them. It started the day before the wedding when they invited us to go with their group on a sunset lobster cruise and we have plans to meet up with them at a concert later this summer. We had a few minutes before Jaime & Mikes wedding to snap a few shot’s of Jaime to give to Mike. I loved the ones we got & so did they. Here is a bit of the e-mail Jaime sent me after they saw the photos. “Oh my goodness!! WOW! Well Tammara,you made me feel like a princess on the wedding day and damn you made me look like a princess too!! Mike’s response to the shots was a dropped jaw followed by a gurgle and then a “WOW” hee hee. actually I think he said WOW at least 4 or 5 times in a row. “

Hello, this is Grant, Tamm’s husband and “second shooter” when it comes to weddings. I don’t normally post in the blog, but thought I would post about a recent wedding we had here in Missouri, close to home. Let me see if by chance I can set the scene of this wedding, hopefully do it some justice…

I’ll jump to ceremony time. Imagine if you will, a princess, what little girl doesn’t dream of growing up to be a princess? (She actually worked at one of the Disney theme parks, so yeah, a princess). Standing by her side, a rock star, what teenage boy doesn’t dream of being a rock star? (He has three music CD’s, yes, he’s a recording artist, and a very good one at that). On the stage, side by side, saying their vows with the ceremony being conducted by the groom’s father who is a speaker for motivating and guiding teens. (This guy could sell ice cubes to the Eskimos!) The ceremony is great, the bride and groom are really feeling the moment and one of the groom’s songs is performed… (not by him, but someone else) it’s a song about getting married and it’s perfect, unbelievable.

Well actually a wasp…Julie & Dustin got married on a wonderful fall day. The weather & trees were perfect for the wedding. And all of Julie’s details matched the surroundings.
We really had a great time with this couple & their families & friends. They were so fun to work with and so into each other that it made my job super easy. I love when couples just enjoy the day and I get to capture that. Julie just treated me as if I was an old friend hanging out with a camera and it shows in the photos. Dustin is just cool and you can see how much he cares for Julie, so sweet. I’ve posted some of my favorite photos here on the blog but you have to watch the slideshow to see why we had such fun with them.
Can you see the wasp in the bottom photo on the very edge of Julies dress? Dustin & I were sure he was going to go right up under the dress.
